AI implications aren't really clear to me -- I don't actually have a firm stance on whether I want my stuff to be used for training or not.
But, I'm pretty sure if any of the generative engines ingest my content, they aren't providing attribution and don't make any outputs share-alike.
(Of course, I'm sure they also ignore any copyright terms.)

I'll try to remember not to comment on your polls since you seem to consistently interpret those comments as attacks on the poll rather than attempts to discuss the underlying issues.

@evan this seems to put a pretty strict set of restrictions on the domain of learning. E.g., I teach a movement art and while books, videos, and the community are all valuable, none of those are the primary channel for learning. Crafts and trades, e.g. carpentry, and skills like farming are more examples that don't seem to fit this. As a developer, books and the web are real valuable. But, I learn by actually building stuff...

@evan @kissane "Not for algorithmic feeds" seems like it would block Mammoth. Ditto for bluesky were they to federate. Is that a consequence you'd accept for keeping Meta from showing posts?
(I would appreciate a client-side transparent algorithmic feed. Since I basically have to implement one by hand currently via lists and judicious hashtags.)

I suspect what people actually want is to block Threads.
