For me as a Swede it is also fairly easy to vote even if I am abroad.

Also makes me think about how ridiculous hard many states in the USA makes it to vote for their eligible voters. 🤦♂️🤦♂️

@jeffowski No matter how much frustration we feel nothing will happen during the first two years of #President47. This due to the Democratic Party failing to get majority in any of the two chambers.

So all we can do is just stand on the sideline and be amazed how fast this administration will take the USA back to the dark ages.

Thank you all for a very informative thread. As just a “usual user” who came here a few months ago I see a challenge with usability. Not seeing all replies on post means I do not see all bad posts and can’t react against them.

Also, Mastodon lack some basic functionality that I feel is important to be able to discuss topics

@Gurre @thanius Add to that I miss some features that I really enjoyed, such as being able to boost a post with a comment. For me that can drive discussion and highlight good posts by others way more clearly.

@samuel Det för ”förslag för dig” känns bara så påtvingande. Saknar det gamla FB.

Har också kvar det. Mest för kontakt med en del fjärran vänner samt för att sköta en FB-grupp för yrkesverksamma som jag startade för en massa år sedan som vuxit till över 1000 medlemmar.

Gör dock sällan något inlägg om mig själv eller så. Har även slutat dela bilder osv. sedan länge.

@sjmulder @aral No it is not. To be sentenced to jail for something like that requires that your actions might have resulted in severe consequences.

She did not follow the orders by the police. If you do not they can arrest you and you will most likely be convicted of the misdemeanor and have to pay a fine.

She did her task by getting attention and could have avoided it by just walking away a few meters. She decided not to. Her choice. Her consequence.
