@bainstor I also have an account there (@atomicpoet@calckey.social).
However, rightly or wrongly, most people perceive this one (@atomicpoet) as the *main* account.

@dans_root @privateger @chris Here's two threads I've already written on this:
https://mastodon.social/@atomicpoet/110317691654195327
https://mastodon.social/@atomicpoet/110330138893896925
Of course, the only way you can appreciate the difference is if you try #Calckey yourself. Might as well give it a shot, right?
@queenslight It's right there in the chart.
@privateger @chris #Misskey is huge in Japan. It's not so huge over in the West. However, #Calckey is growing the visibility of *key apps in the West.
It just happened!
https://misskey.io overtook https://mastodon.online!/
As tabulated by FediDB, it is now the 5th largest Fediverse server!
This is quite symbolic because, for the first time, #Misskey's flagship server now has more users than one of #Mastodon's flagship servers!
Just found out that @Are0h is building a Fediverse project based on *key!
I suspect he’ll be adding critical community safety features!
I’m extremely excited about this!
If you want to help him out, donate to his Patreon!
@kidehen That sucks. What browser is this?
@mekkaokereke @davidslifka @supernovae @damonoutlaw That’s big news! I’m already donating to his project, Fipamo without even knowing he was working on his own *key.
By the way, have you spoken with @darnell? He has a lot of expertise about different aspects of the Fediverse. He also runs a #Misskey server, and is also familiar with its forks.
@ConserveChange @pussista @fediversenews Then why is Discord so popular?
@pussista @fediversenews Algorithms.
@coffe I wrote something last night.
Interesting observation about social media “fun”:
Some people think #Bluesky is “fun”. However, I find it anxiety-inducing and stressful. I’m not the only one who thinks so. A few autistic people say the same thing.
#Calckey seems “fun” to me because I can make it be what I need it to be. For example, it’s nice that I can create antennas devoted to my special interests.
@dansup @darnell @fediversenews Once again, Dan, you're a champ.
@darnell @fediversenews Yeah, maybe we should mention that to @dansup. Baraag should probably be de-listed too.
@davidslifka @supernovae @damonoutlaw @mekkaokereke David, I personally think emphasizing Mastodon over the rest of the Fediverse is a tactical mistake. So I'm just going to suggest this.
There are several members of the Black community that are working on their own implementations of Fediverse apps -- both server and client software. I've seen demos. They looks fantastic.
I think it's important to boost what these devs are doing.
@sergio_101 You sure can. I do it all the time.
@darnell @fediversenews That's pretty interesting. I know FediDB removes pawoo. And I don't think joindiaspora.com should be counted. It's reached end of life.
@sergio_101 Why not, right? It's fun.
This is dramatic!
https://misskey.io is 4 users away from overtaking https://mastodon.online as the 6th largest server on the Fediverse!
At least according to FediDB:
@supernovae @mekkaokereke @damonoutlaw Yeah, that’s something I’ve also realized. The longer Bluesky delays decentralization, the harder it will be once they decentralize.
Because the stark reality is that much of Bluesky’s community thinks they’re getting Twitter 2.0. And what they see in Bluesky now may not exist for long (if what Jack says is accurate).
As we’ve already seen here, decentralization is hard to understand once it happens.
