The Big Liddell is also called the Great Scott. The Liddell Scott Jones Greek Lexicon. I guess Jones was left out.

Anyways, I do remember χλωρός frequently having association with sickly and rotting things. I don't much recall χλωρός really being used in the connotation of verdant.

Green covers a somewhat different wavelength of colors until the Greeks began being able to recognize and denote the color blue. I sometimes see translators talk about χλωρός as green-yellow. Not to be confused with Ξάνθος which more properly means "yellow."

Homer makes frequent reference to the wine-colored sea.

I just don't trust communists to speak the truth about what happened to them or why it was done.

I have very good reason to hold this perspective.

All sorts of lefties lie from the moment they wake to the moment they rest. I can't trust anything they say.

Considering what I *know* about what the communists did to Catholics during the war, I have an absence of pity for them.

Sulla came out on top in the Social War. I don't know what else to say. Reckless and absolute disregard for moral authority will, as a best case scenario, result in being squashed beneath the foot of a tyrant.

Worst case scenario looks more like what the Romans did with the Carthaginians when they didn't find a living human being younger than 17 in the city.
