@sj_zero Agreed, however it wasn't always like that. I have some good memories of being in NYC as a child and teen.

@eriner Macintosh and Red Delicious are my faves. Fuji is good but imo it doesn't hold up against a Macintosh.

@Hoss @ins0mniak @p I don't think I've had a proper Chicago dog. When I lived in NJ and my dad would take me on errands with him, sometimes we'd go to NYC and I'd order a "gross dog":
Ketchup
Mustard
Kraut
Relish
Beans

I don't eat 'em like that anymore, mostly because I find ketchup to be disgusting these days.

@p @ins0mniak I don't buy that. That might have been the case in the past, but modern Chinese restaurants are owned/staffed by modern Chinese immigrants. And the Americanized stuff is demonstrably trash compared to the authentic recipes (which I've been, on occasion, blessed to find being used).

@ThatCrazyDude It's in promotion of 15 Minute cities, nothing more nothing less. Agenda driven bullshit. My wife had to travel three counties over (a nearly 2 hour drive) to get an emergency c-section when our daughter was born.
