>The thing that kills it is incredibly simple: ignore it. Most problems don't go away if you ignore them.
This is true. Most problems don't really go away if you ignore them. But there's a surprising amount of social ills that could be as solved for as cheaply as closing one's eyes for a small portion of the day. And when someone gives you the opportunity to be righteously indignant to instead yawn in reply, "There's only so much time in the day."
Many people could be happy right now, regardless their material circumstances, if they just declined the opportunity to be upset--even if for good reason.
I'm thinking of that argument that capitalism is all about getting niggers fat so they can have millions upon millions of dollars worth of the most heroic medical care before they gracelessly expire.
What's the point of socialized healthcare if the provision of care to needlessly prolong the life of a child-eating homosexual creates deficits in the availability of care for the genuinely vulnerable who didn't deliberately walk into a lifestyle of vice and self-destruction.
Little Timmy won't be able to get that kidney he needs to see his tenth birthday, because it was instead installed in the shivering and jaundiced husk of a forty-seven-year-old homosexual who has to introduce himself to his neighbors every time he moves neighborhood on account of his criminal history.
You know. I'll make you a deal. I'm willing to forego medical care so that Timmy can get his kidney and live to adulthood. If you'll agree that the homosexual should not live so that the child may die.
You're literally living like a crazed shut-in. Your perception of reality is mind-fucked into a different one.
No-one is impressed by how hard you work to protect yourself from threats real or imagined. You're constantly making demands of the behavior of others without performing any sacrifices of your own.
Top to bottom just self-indulgence.
You're not going to be the hero of "The Stand" or "Night of the Living Dead."
I hope scoring points against strangers on the internet is worth this life of meaninglessness.
O Mary, you truly became the Queen of all martyrs as these seven bitter swords of sorrow pierced your Immaculate Heart! By the merits of your tearful distress obtain for us and for all sinners the graces of perfect contrition and conversion. Help us always, dear Mother, to imitate you by taking up our crosses and following Jesus with limitless love and generosity. Amen.
