I've got a quiry for @tokyo_0 regarding the script to pull and push posts from my old instance to my new one. I'm getting an error that it cannot fetch version number thenthe script exits. Did something change from sepatember to april 2024 regarding API an such? Thanks.

@meljoann That sounds like a good idea. What such a thing even work? And what if more than one person uses that #.I'mNotFullyAwakeAtTheMomentSoI'mHopingMyIdeaOrMyQuestionMakesSomeKindOfSense.HappyFriday. I keep drawing a blank when it comes to the own cast directory though. I don't actually have that book marked in my browser. That might have to change as I keep forgetting to tune into some very cool stuff.

@feditips good to know, thanks. I think I did this without realising it got reset. I wonder if this is a bug?

@feditips @DavBot with space bear (Love the name) they want for starters 7 euros a month but streaming for all instances is limited to 420P. I always do 1080 by 728 for all of my streams at 2000 mbps. I'm considering owncast for my streaming needs as that seems more forgiving, and I can set up transcoding on the fly there.

@feditips Will tghese managed hosts allow me to live stream as well, if I set that up?

@feditips I looked at linode and, yeah, no thanks. At least, not right now. lol! Are ther managed hosting services such as masto.host for mastodon which can help you set one of these up? I'd love to see taht in a resources section on peertubes site, or mayber in a general userguide somewhere.

I was trying to find one yesterday but that peertube channel only accepted 5 mb videos at 5 gigs per day. considering my shorts are 40 mb in size, and my youtgube videos cvan be 15 gigs in length for 2 hours? Yeah not goign to work. Now if it could transcode thnen remove ther raw contgent I upload that would be nice. I would set up my own except the process seems long and very involved.

@atomicpoet there Hass to be a limit to the file storage. Otherwise cost will go up and not much will be left for database management. At least that’s how I see it. Overall though, it sounds cool.

Well we've got a problem with #owncast. I cannot adjust the slider to 30fps using #NvDA. woops?

setting this up is so far accessible with nvda and the web interface, however I cannot adjust the slider which is stuck at 24fps with nvda. Is there someone I can contact re #accessibility of #owncast?
