@ke7zum Happy ones, I hope?
@killyourfm Wow you are bringing back memmories.
@thomasjwebb They really are! I've only had an hour or two with it, and it's already starting to make sense.
@killyourfm I have a different 4-track tascam cassette recorder. I love how intuitive those are to use.
@thomasjwebb The notion of escaping screens while I record music is undeniably attractive.
@killyourfm I challenged myself awhile back to record stuff just using its 4 tracks and only hardware stuff I have. As a way to take a break from using DAWs for everything. It was fun and I plan on continuing with it again.
@JoeRess DO IT!
@killyourfm I keep meaning to record something with mine...
@thomasjwebb I definitely understand that. I'm on my PC all day for work, too. But then I've been staring at a screen to make and mix music, or to watch some shows, or to play a game...
So something had to give.
@killyourfm The only way I make DAWs work (for me, Bitwig) is by extensively using control surface/midi controllers. But yeah, since my job is computers, I like to avoid computers as much as possible for hobbies. Hence me using film cameras at least half the time.
@geoscum This is EXACTLY the plan! I'm putting together a few blog posts to talk about it (soon)!
@killyourfm Full length album released on cassette?!? I'll keep my fingers crossed 🤞
@geoscum
PS: Got this to handle the tape duplication.
@geoscum Nice deck! And yea, with tapes being about 1/3 the price of vinyl these day, I'm starting to consider tape releases too. The last time I went on Bandcamp cassette spree was... well, too long ago ;-)
@killyourfm Awesome! This is what I have been listening with. I have been loving finding random artists on Badcamp who sell their albums on cassette.
@trezzer It is my precious!
@killyourfm Wow. I remember starting longingly at that thing through a window in the 90s. Week after week. One time I actually got to record on one, too.
