   They're not all that expensive, there is a lot of variation in what is available (but the prices will of course be higher than for text-based stuff like Masto etc).

     PeerTube isn't primarily a streaming platform, that was added later.

     OwnCast is a better option if you're mainly looking to stream on here.

     (However, there are no managed hosts offering OwnCast yet.)

     @feditips @DavBot with space bear (Love the name) they want for starters 7 euros a month but streaming for all instances is limited to 420P. I always do 1080 by 728 for all of my streams at 2000 mbps. I'm considering owncast for my streaming needs as that seems more forgiving, and I can set up transcoding on the fly there.
