It’s a big difference following a music blog on RSS, instead of Instagram. I can actually click links. The link takes me to Bandcamp, where I can follow the artist and put their album in my wishlist.
Hey, I’ve been wondering this. How come you can sign in with a #Pixelfed account using a Mastodon app, and not vice versa? Design choice on the Pixelfed app? Or is there a some technical reason?
It’s just the apps themselves deciding whether to support multiple #ActivityPub projects, is it?
@daria Oh definitely, I’ll be trying everything I can! The kicker is having to get another random job though, so less than half the time needed to do the work
It’s a sort of a chicken and egg thing, crowdfunding… first some kind of marketing budget because not enough people know your stuff exists?
The PRS grant would have got a radio plugger (my manager is great at Irish radio but beyond that we need help).
Already feel I’m being super annoying with self promotion on Fedi 😂
Sooo… I don’t have this month’s rent. Hesitantly asking for #mutualAid — if you have more than you need right now.
Looking for yet another minimum wage job, don’t have the 🥄 … halving the time I need for music, videos, finding new listeners, Fedi community stuff & SysAdmin.
I’m super frugal and can live on £300 extra per month.
@gabek aw thanks! It doesn’t load at all on Firefox iOS (just the spinning loading icon), and on Vivaldi iOS the “Create Account” link just redirects back to the login page…
@ke7zum I think it could really work, if a whole group of us choose a tag! Then, whenever we feel like watching something, or we’re finished our stream and would like to “raid into” our friend’s channel, we could just use the directory?
Maybe one for music, one for games, one for coding streams? Those are the three categories I like to watch, anyway :)
@ety@ke7zum@gabek oh interesting! Well I guess if we all use the “group tag” idea we were discussing, that means we’re OK to be raided?
Also, I remember a late night convo on NYD about using “Glide” or something instead of “Raid” haha! Sounds friendlier 😆 But will people know what we mean?!
