Adrianna Tan's recent posts are worth reading about surprising liberal hostility toward immigrant H1B workers.

Also, W.E.B. Du Bois and Alexander Saxton are worth reading on the U.S. labor movement's history of trying to exclude groups of workers who have fewer freedoms instead of making common cause with them -- which allows unequal competition to continue.
