Trump crossed Schumer's explicit red line on ending democracy. Schumer: [crickets]
Here we are. Last week, Trump crossed Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer’s explicit red line. Here’s Schumer on March 19th, speaking about his abject capitulation to allow a fascist ...

“This was a deal between Schumer and Thune to allow a brief performative episode to throw Democratic voters off the scent while the Democratic caucus allowed the bill to pass. The deal is this: Democrats agree to give up the 60 vote threshold in exchange for being allowed to offer amendments to the House bill. … It doesn’t even matter what they are. But this is all for show. Once you give up the 60 vote threshold the whole thing is over.” #USPol https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/the-kabuki-cave

@AnarchoNinaWrites In addition to people never fundamentally questioning inculcated capitalist ideology, in conversations with several people I’ve found that what it comes down to for them is existential fear of the wealthy flipping the table on society, so they comply in advance. & they get mad at anyone who doesn’t.

@QasimRashid Gotta say, like #EmmaVigeland said on the #MajorityReport, disappointed to see #AOC Mon. toe the Biden/Harris admin. line on Gaza. I know that’s the price of speaking on stage, but wish really she hadn’t agreed to validate the admin.’s genocidal policy.

@mekkaokereke Exactly, it was obvious at the time, Fauci et al. worked backward from “shortage of N95s, save them for health care workers” to “the general public wouldn’t get any benefit b/c they don’t know how to wear them properly” all the way to “if you’re not a health care worker, you don’t need one.”

Answering health experts' complaints that using vaccination programs for spying had hurt international efforts to fight disease, the CIA says it has stopped the practice.

@WarnerCrocker Will be voting for Dems, but they couldn’t be bothered to protect the oh so holy Constitution either, focusing on “kitchen table issues” (read: running the empire) & only impeaching Trump half-assed after they were politically forced to, twice. Heard it in almost so many words directly from a Dem leadership staffer. Oh & the Constitution is rigged against the public interest, it’s not democracy
