I am so loving #pixelfed right now! It really is like what Instagram used to be. It feels great to be sharing photos again.
You can follow me at @mmccue right here on Mastodon thanks to the magic of the fediverse. I also highly recommend creating an account for yourself. It's a lot of fun and the photos there are awesome.
@dansup My Pixelfed account is bridged to Bluesky and it's amazing. I link to it from my Bluesky profile and occasionally repost some of my photos to my broader Bluesky audience. But it was non-obvious to do this. You could make it the default.
@dansup I'm seeing a lot of Pixelfed posts on Bluesky these days (I bridged my account there too). The community is strong and growing. And the Pixelfed app and website are a respite for people who just want to take a moment and focus on the photography.
If you love #Pixelfed as much as I do, you’ll love this Surf feed. It’s a great way to discover new photographers to follow there. Adding more all the time.
This feed by @tchambers is my go to feed for staying on top of what the builders and thinkers of the fediverse are saying right now. I absolutely love it.
If you’re on Surf check out Voices for Democracy. It’s become my definitive view into what’s happening with our democracy. I’ll probably be glued to it next week.
New Surf beta just dropped that makes it easier to share and discover custom feeds. We’ve also added @ mentions to your home so it’s easier to reply and DM with people in the fediverse. Bug fixes and Android performance improvements in here too.
Excited to send out a new batch of invites this weekend.
My Mastodon timeline is an awesome, well moderated blend of people who are posting with Mastodon, Threads, Flipboard, Pixelfed, Misskey, Bluesky and Lemmy. It’s just the people I care about without all the noise, toxicity and link bait.
This morning we’re opening a beta for Surf, a new kind of browser for a new kind of web — the open social web.
Built from the ground up on ActivityPub, AT Proto and RSS, you can create and surf amazing custom feeds that organize people, videos, articles, images and podcasts around the things you care about.
Surf is a liberating new approach to how we use social media and I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. Learn more and sign up for the beta at https://surf.social
