🎉 Version 1.0.356 of Surf is live on TestFlight and Android. Now, you have deeper customization options for your feeds — set your default tabs according to the type of content you want to highlight, filter by Bluesky or Mastodon, or even use Surf as your RSS reader.
This week we're featuring @tchambers in our Surfer Spotlight. Hit "Discover Feeds" in the sidebar of the app and you'll find his feeds on "Pluribus," the fediverse, Maryland, street art and more.
🏄🏻🎉 There's a new beta for Surf available on TestFlight and Google Play. As well as the usual performance improvements and bug fixes, we've made some updates to the Surf Shop. Tap Discover Feeds in your sidebar to check out what's new and find inspiration for when you create your own feeds.

"Flipboard’s Surf app will launch its 1.0 version in 2026 and cross 1 million downloads across iOS and Android by year end, with 100,000+ monthly active users. It will become the most-downloaded dedicated Open Social Web client, surpassing Mastodon’s official app and Graysky."
🏄🏻 There's a new Surf release dropping now! We've ironed out some performance issues and polished things up — and we're sending out a whole new wave of invitations. Tell us in the comments what you think, and if you've been patiently waiting for an invite, let us know, and we'll get you in.
ICYMI, we launched an updated version of Surf with easier navigation. Build your own topical feeds including posts from @Mastodon, Bluesky and Threads, plus RSS, YouTube, podcasts and Flipboard Magazines. Need inspiration? Head to the Surf Shop where you can explore feeds on everything from news and politics to book reviews, record collecting and Vectrex. You decide how your feed looks, what's in it, and what's excluded.
In case you missed it, we released a new version of Surf last week, with a redesigned Home. Here are a few cool new Surf feeds to celebrate (and to keep you occupied if you're enjoying a few days off for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday).
The web version is coming really soon — the team has been doing a lot of foundational work to get things right! In the meantime, if you're already a Surf user, you'll see a whole new Home experience next time you log in.
Episode 5 of AppleTV's "Pluribus" is dropping early this week, in time for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. Follow all the discussion via @tchambers's custom feed, created with Surf.
Our biggest release yet is here! Enjoy redesigned navigation that drops you right into your Surf Timeline in the new Home experience and lets you quickly access your go-to feeds from anywhere in Surf.
Allons-y! If you've used Surf to make a #CustomFeed that you're proud of, share it on social with the hashtag #SurfFeeds and we might feature it in the Cool Surf Feeds section of the app — like we did with @Skivling's fantastic #DoctorWho feed.
