I wonder why #lemonsqueezy takes a higher cut for PayPal payouts outside the US.
Aren't PayPal fees always the same?

@molly0xfff these are great! Will you be selling these anywhere?
@daviwil I’m considering to run a Matrix server for family to bridge all the things. Can you recommend matrix at all after your experiments?
@gamingonlinux This sounds awful! But the link you shared doesn’t seem to say anything related to running your forum. What did I miss? (fellow forum

@aral this sounds really cool -- and I have only a superficial grasp of how this would be even possible! :)
It's #EmacsConf weekend!
~6 more hours to go
@Gargron @patrick_h_lauke FWIW Steam and Spotify aren't already social networks -- I would've also liked to e.g. boost a post that's only visible to me by an admin account, or follow a wrapstodon account first that then sends me the stats
Ah, so you need to see "All Notifications" to have the #Wrapstodon ""link"" show up. Only it's not a link, it's a <button> with React.js event listener, so you can't share it as a link :(
@patrick_h_lauke I guess it's because @Gargron isn't happy with how far they got with that feature this year, so no good placement or share-ability for 2024?
Where did all the people from emacs.ch go? I'm pretty sure there were some names in my timeline that are missing now 🤔
shugo/textbringer: An Emacs-like text editor written in Ruby https://github.com/shugo/textbringer
Combines #Emacs and #Ruby -- a great idea :)
It's fun to see and learn from an implementation like this. There are books on the topic, on how you need a window to render to, a buffer to represent the whole content, and this project uses gap buffers as recommended. Nice.
@jbaty I'm too stupid to think of this in advance all the time, so my personal quick fix is to expand-region to select the word, cut it, insert the auto-pairing characters, then paste again. It's stupid :)
Is there a way to override the ~/.gitconfig editor variable so that *only from within Emacs* (eshell) it uses Emacs?
From the terminal outside Emacs, I want the default to be `micro`.
@aral oooh it even has rather beautiful freehand lines!
@aral That's nice! Custom colors when? :)
@dansup with traditional web dev, you wouldn't need to rewrite it though 🥲
@Gargron gosh that's a lot of fern
@aral Not complaining, just wondering: why [toc] not {toc}? I believe I've seen the latter but not the former
@Gargron Great job, minimalistic and usable!
I'm putting off building something like this for my sketches and paintings for years now. 🤫
@dansup oh no you're 10 years behind the curve that leads back to PHP :D
