While mother and father share an equal genetic contribution (for simplicity's sake that's fair to say), the mother's lifestyle, age, and other factors influence development and are the primary "epigenetic" contributors. A father with bad sperm is more likely to have motility issues leading to no pregnancy. Not to say there aren't goofy dudes making goofy kids either, but it's not 50/50 on this one.
