@sinituulia I have to assume itโs because by โcoffeeโ they donโt mean drip or basic espresso drinks that you make at home, but one of Starbuckโs special โcoffeeโ-adjacent drinks.
Home โbrewingโ has turned into this nasty environmental disaster that is Keurig cups. Barf.
โbut it won't shift the rest of the populace.โ
โcorporate media is easily manipulated into spreading his propaganda and counter programming.โ
The post-shot fist pump image is already becoming โiconicโ. I think he just became a living martyr to a lot of people who were somehow on the fence.
I have some #GenZ coworkers and was telling them about how we used to take our car stereo face plates with us when we left the car back in the days when stereos weren't integrated into the dash and you wanted a nice one.
I think I get why #AI is "the next big thing" for #Microsoft. It's about Search money.
I think they think #ChatGPT is the next Google search. Instead of a list of sites, you get what you are looking for in those sites. Instead of image searching & getting a bunch of crap & porn, it makes the image you are looking for. Instead of searching for how to write a cover letter, it will compose it for you.
It's not about being Siri on roids. It's about being the next Google.
@vapaad@tillshadeisgone Iโm in the industry- Bangladesh became a huge source for very affordable casual clothes, ESPECIALLY denim (denim can be on the more expensive side to make for brands so many went to Vietnam and if that was too expensive, Bangladesh).
Important though โ Itโs NOT just fast fashion, but regular old guard mall retail and also places like Walmart. They all share these factories.
For #NewMusicFriday I'm already loving CMAT's new album 'Crazymad, For Me'
Just real nice & bright emotive indie pop from the Irish singer-songwriter with colorful elements of 70s/80s classic pop, country, and piano-rock. And her voice! *chef's kiss*
Low quality healthcare is a burden on the ENTIRE healthcare system. If one chooses to be reckless with their health, it affects everyone in their lives AND the healthcare system as a whole.
IMO the solution is not forcing healthcare, but supporting proactive healthcare and education, combined with social services for those who need it.
Yes! If we have and encourage proactive healthcare and health education, before you know it, they are strapping us down & injecting brainwash microbes in our brains!
Easy tiger. No one is forcing anyone to take care of themselves. But giving up on education and social services (which the US has already mostly done) is the fastest way to a broken society controlled by a powerful few.
@StillIRise1963 I used to be very libertarian about stuff like this too, but not only does stupid shit like this put a burden on the healthcare system, it raises insurance rates for everyone, and no one is an island, stupidity usually spreads to their spouses, kids, and family & friends.
Personal freedom to be stupid is never actually โpersonalโ.
