For morale reasons, please admire these sleeves that I intensively pattern matched when I made this 1780s or so Redingote. It was slow but relatively easy and very very satisfying because I did all of it by hand! Photo of the whole thing attached to show just how very little it's even seen, and yet!

Finnish lesson of the day, word "jeesustella", verb, not capitalized: To act in a way of hubristic moral superiority, to rub religious mores in the face of someone not interested, to act holier than thou, to be judgemental.

Use in sentence: "Älä sinä saatana jeesustele mulle siinä..."

Literal translation: "Don't you Devil be Jesus-ing at me right now..."
Natural translation: "Fucking stop acting like you're better than me!"

Ah, Finnish. Irrevent, making up fun new ways to use existing words, making verbs out of anything. It's a good word.

They've had some sniffs and such, but Rudolf is a bit scared of Musti, who having gotten used to Rudolf is now trying to make friends probably. 😅 But he's also immense, muscular and heavy, and Rudolf feels intimidated?

Musti: Hello good sir, perchance some nose sniffs?
Rudolf: Why are you the size of a HOUSE
Musti: No need for alarm, just some nose sniffs?
Rudolf: I AM CONCERNED

For a second it looked like Kerv might give him an ear lick, but it didn't happen!

Current status of the most anxious of the four sirs: Sharing a hiding spot on the window sill because neighbours and workmen are making noise in the stairwell.

Rudolf and Pörri get along the best, anyway. Pörri has a mostly calm energy as opposed to Musti being massive and intense, and Karvinen being very forward and having little sense of personal space.
This was late yesterday, as Rudolf was investigating the dinner options and was only slightly disconcerted by the close nose sniffs.

Edit: Rudolf does have his own tray, plate and water bowl in the bedroom, but he wanted to eat this food also!

And! Atrocious photo and Pörri *just* traipsed off frame, but FOUR CATS. Four cats! It's simply a lot of cats.

Resting for a little bit after vacuuming the cat bed quilt and everything else. Now awaiting... the fourth cat!

Mother has locked down the arrival time and then I'm going to be entertaining a #VisitingSir for several days.
