@jeffowski no, a fascist wants to catch you running and you just keep jogging like it's no big deal.

@jeffowski sick of hearing messages like this from americans who categorically refuse to do anything to stop trump. If you're not going to stop him, do us ALL a favour and sign yourself into an extermination camp.

@jeffowski @ned @LaNaehForaday there will not, in fact, be accountability. not so long as the american people keep refusing to hold trump to account, anyways. this incident changes nothing.

@Dianora @bmacDonald94 I love the parallel because, like trump's battleships, they were oversized/overpowered monstrosities that could never reach their full potential due to rapidly evolving aviation technology. They were obsolete before they finished fitting out and spent most of the war hiding from the RAF. Their greatest triumph in battle was being the final resting place for thousands of dead nazis.

@gemlog @Lazarou if one is very paranoid* they can also get purification tablets for when you can't boil it. Me personally, I hope the disaster kills me.

@MugsysRapSheet @bmacDonald94 You're right, we could have been doing a much better job making this terrible person regret her intentional choices. We've had years.

@adapalmer @bmacDonald94 Burns like these save lives. The indigenous, the firefighters, community leaders, everyone knows. It’s very frustrating to see the indigenous perspective ignored because whites still think they know better.

@progressiveparker @bmacDonald94 It will always make me chuckle that republicans are such an old white guy party that even their “young” are old ass men. And women, I guess, but I struggle to understand how you square “being seen not heard” and being a vocal member of one of your political party’s racist group chats.

This is, without a doubt, the dumbest scientific study ever conducted. The conclusion is stupid, there’s no value in learning whether MDIs are “bad for the environment”. These are critical medical interventions used all over the world to save lives. If you shut down one single fucking refinery you’d save 10x the amount MDIs “cost”.

      from AFP News
The inhalers people depend on to breathe are also warming the planet, producing annual emissions equivalent to more than half a million cars in the United States alone, researchers said Monday in a major new study.

If you want to study something, maybe figure out if HFAs are actually safe for human consumption. Why do we spend so much money to learn things that just don’t fucking matter, at all? There’s a very simple solution to the climate issue and that’s to completely outlaw oil and gas. No more oil or oil adjacent industries at all. The climate would recover naturally and we’d be fine. But no, the world is run by jackass politicians receiving O&G kickbacks, so “it’s complicated”.
