Narcan/naloxone is a very cool medicine. Once absorbed by the body, it boots (and blocks) the narcotics from opioid receptors in the brain. It’ll reverse an OD for some amount of time (how long depends on a lot of factors), and it has no other biological function so it doesn’t have nasty side effects if improperly administered. It’s probably saved millions, of course RFK hates it.

@ekis this is also why they lost. When republicans win, they implement their agenda. When dems win, they bicker with fascists on CNN until the next election cycle and accomplish nothing. The promise of another chance is the only coherent message they ever sold. Actual change is someone else’s platform.

Are you mad about foreigners taking jobs that “used to be” held by locals? Take it out on the ownership class, not the poor soul who was forced to immigrate due to financial instability at home. Your “business leaders”, your “self-made millionaires”, your “small business owners” are 100% responsible for the prejudice this woman faces, the consistent reduction of wages for locals, and for their business’s hiring practices. The Wordpress ecosystem is garbage built on top of garbage. I made hundreds of WP sites over the years, the people who write plugins for them shouldn’t be allowed to download text editors (let alone distribute software to millions of websites). Matt Mullenweg distributes a piece of software that’s more dangerous to run on a server than actual Russian malware. Fuck the losers at WP engine and automattic. You’re all really, really bad at your jobs.

Bluesky appears to be a Twitter clone that has none of the features (good news, hashtags are coming soon!!!), none of the buzz early Twitter had, and whose only gimmick is “remember jack?”. On top of everything else it’s crammed full of neolib warmongers. I’d say the same of threads, but not one real human cares about that app.
