Next up: Coca, a pastry from Catalonia / the Balearic islands. Typically savoury with loads of veggies. The base is a kind of bread dough with quite some olive oil, not dissimilar to Focaccia. A Coca strictly comes with no cheese whatsoever.
As announced, here is the new #recipe from Switzerland: ‘Züri-Gschnätzlets’. At some point, probably in winter, it will be followed by Bœuf Stroganoff, prepared using the same cooking technique. Enjoy. And may the taste be with you. https://nextgen-cookbook.org/en/zuercher-geschnetzeltes-2/
Two busy weeks ahead, several business trips, especially to Brussels, which is easy for us to reach by high speed train, but will still be time consuming.
So next weekend there will be nothing or something (worthy, of course) that can be prepared quickly. After that, we'll be back in full swing. And in October in Spain, which will be highly productive. At least as long as we're not playing Petanca with the NextGens.
It will be months before we dare writing a recipe for this - it's a sensational but definitely not uncomplicated dish. One day we'll have it in the bag. But for our dinner, it's more than great already.
After a total of 36 hours, our low-temperature pork roast is done. It has just been Austrian-grandmother-appoved, so we'll be writing a recipe for it soon. Now we need a nap, then it's back to Munich.
We didn't have much time this weekend, so the next #recipe will be published later this week. It will be our take on the #ClubSandwich, which has been around since at least 1894. Of course, we will describe variations and add our personal touch to the dish. Hasta pronto!
Our #recipe for pasta alla zozzona is coming this weekend. And we'll cook and take pictures for the week after. But it's going to be something straightforward, because on Tuesday we travel to Spain for a week or so. Madame Chilipepper is speaking at a congress in Valencia and after that we'll be hiking in La Mancha, from where we're sure to bring back new ideas. If there are any requests, let us know.
We're late with the #recipe of the week because we were on a road trip through Lower Bavaria. That was great. Here's our take on Indian paratha filled with radish. You will also find out how to make chapati or roti. Enjoy. And may the taste be with you. https://nextgen-cookbook.org/en/mooli-paratha-2/
Well this turned out even better than expected. The champagne sabayon is a fantastic alternative to hollandaise sauce, much lighter and so elegant. In fact, it's our new favourite. It doesn't have to be champagne either, other sparkling wines or white wines also work. #Recipe soon.
It started with a cookbook for the children so that they can prepare healthy and varied food for themselves. Then, we thought: Since there is this internet-thing, we might as well share the cookbook with everyone. #Cookbook #Recipe #Homecooking #Vegetarian #Vegan
