I think there's no keeping the Republican name now. The GOP repeatedly conspired with a foreign enemy to commit acts of war against the United States. It is engaged in an ongoing violent attempt to overthrow the United States government. These are not reversible actions.

I wish Liz Cheney had realized that a bit sooner, and created the new conservative party that America needs. She might have saved our democracy.

Did Macron do that as effectively as he could have? Could he have somehow named a government that had more left-wing representation, but could still survive? Did the far-left parties ensure a more right-wing government by refusing to negotiate, knowing that National Rally won 140 seats?

Briefly, NFP is an alliance of numerous parties that joined to thwart Le Pen's Nazi-adjacent National Rally. NFP won enough seats to prevent National Rally from forming a government, but not enough to form a government that would survive an immediate vote of no confidence. The far left declined to negotiate, instead demanding a government that would be immediately dissolved.

It's pretty goddamned irresponsible of The Guardian to refer to a so-called "apparent assassination attempt." The man never even fired a shot. As you say, mifepristone can treat endometriosis. And it's used to treat miscarriage, which ends about 20% of pregnancies.

The Republican Party is denying women #healthcare, forcing them to suffer horribly, become permanently disabled, and sometimes die.

Our US media reports of these terrorist murders are underreporting their impact on Israeli politics, which may most directly affect us here.

The Israeli public wants its hostages freed. But, according to the heads of Mossad and Shin Bet (Israel's FBI), Netanyahu is personally sabotaging negotiations to free the hostages. Hamas murdered these hostages only recently, in response to IDF's botched rescue attempt.

Israelis are furious at Netanyahu.
