   It's pretty goddamned irresponsible of The Guardian to refer to a so-called "apparent assassination attempt." The man never even fired a shot. He was just one more white man walking around menacingly while brandishing a military weapon in public. In the Republican Party's America, that's a routine, everyday occurrence.
