Yeah, there were about 2 days in 2021, right after the Republican Party tried and failed to massacre our leaders and overthrow our government, when some in the GOP briefly regretted dedicating their lives to fascist insurrection.

However, the party (led by McConnell) quickly closed ranks behind the Capitol putsch. And then, because there were never any negative consequences for the insurrection, the GOP learned the lesson that violent revolution is their only option.

Trump didn't go to Arlington last year, or the year before. The only reason he's going there now is because his campaign is in trouble.

Using the deaths of the people you called suckers and losers to score political points is sickening.

Here's a very bizarre and inauthentic-appearing account. It posts totally insane right-wing nut job content, but it doesn't maintain any coherent political ideology. And it also posts a large amount of random non-political content.

It links to a web page of a guy who advertises himself as a SEO optimization consultant. But I'm not sure it's really that guy.

It has 1.9K followers. That's a lot, for a RWNJ in the Fediverse.

I think I remember seeing a different Mastodon account that also posted offensive RWNJ content, and linked to a professional page from an online scammer type. Maybe such people just have a knack for offensive trolling. "Any engagement is good engagement."

I don't think there can ever again be a healthy Republican Party. The GOP conspired with a foreign enemy to attack the United States, and staged a violent attempt to massacre our elected officials and overthrow our government. There's no coming back from that.

However, the GOP's war against the US in no way makes the Democrats insurrectionists as well, nor will it ever do so.

We need a new conservative party for our country to survive, but not to keep the Dems honest.

Trump is mentally incapable of experiencing empathy. That is simply not possible.

It is possible that one of his Trump's handlers coached him to perform this stunt. But he would detest having to do it. And that would almost certainly mean that the event was staged.

Donald Trump doesn't understanding anything about economics. He's cognitively incapable of comprehending how tariffs work, what causes inflation, or anything else that isn't a direct statement about his own greatness or worthlessness.
