You're campaigning for Donald Trump and the Republican Party. You certainly have the right to do that. But it's not accurate for you to call yourself "progressive," while you're actively working to help implement a national abortion ban, deny lifesaving medical care to pregnant women and LGBTQ people, outlaw the very existence of transgender people, and systematically deprive Black people of the right to vote.

Last night, a Manhattan restaurant was hosting the Harlem Democrats following a Harris-Walz fundraiser a few blocks away.

A mob of so-called "Pro-Palestinian demonstrators" stormed the restaurant, attacked its patrons, caused thousands of dollars in damage, and cost the bar much more in unpaid bar tabs.

These scumbags are pro-fascist leftists, doing everything they can to get Trump elected. There's nothing "pro-Palestinian" about them.

Hundreds or thousands of them will be in Chicago next week, trying to destroy the Democratic National Convention. Many of them are delegates, so they will be trying to destroying the convention from the inside.

They're drumming up revenue for themselves, by publishing horse race clickbait instead of truth. The attacks on Walz's military service are false. AP's responsibility is to report that.

The headline should read "Republicans launch false attacks on Walz's military service. Will the lies stick?"

In case anyone is wondering, here's what Trump was talking about:

Trump is falsely claiming that there was no crowd greeting VP Harris at the airport when she arrived in Michigan. There was, however, a large crowd there. The event was live-streamed by dozens of news outlets, and the thousands of people who were present also posted their own photos and videos.

Lying about something that was this well documented is a sign of profound insanity.

Again, if somebody truly wanted to hurt Trump's campaign, they would be posting the documents publicly, not sending them to newspapers. This is a publicity stunt.

I think the person who sent the documents to Politico and WaPo only identified himself as "Robert," and didn't mention anything else about his identity, right?

So, whoever is sharing these files with WaPo is claiming to be an insider within Trump's campaign, not an Iranian hacker.

That claim would be consistent with the fact that whoever is distributing these files clearly is not trying to hurt Trump's campaign.

Yeah, exactly. Any Iranian interference in our election would be pro-Trump, not anti-Trump.

It's possible that someone else might have hacked Trump's campaign and grabbed damaging documents. If that happened, the campaign would lie and say they know it was Iran.

However, if that had happened, the documents would be all over the internet right now, like Hillary Clinton's emails were. Not locked up in a safe at Politico.

Now that Trump and Vance are officially the party's nominees, each state's ballots are being prepared with those names on them. There would be some legal complexities involved in trying to change the nominees at this point.

This is probably a lie. We should ignore it.

Trump's campaign claims that someone spearfished one of their staff, got access to their internal servers, and then copied hundreds of sensitive internal documents.

Bullshit.

Trump's campaign claims Iran hacked them, but they won't say how they know it was Iran. Why would a hacker steal Trump's documents, but then share them only with Politico, a right-wing outlet that wouldn't publish anything damaging to Trump?

The most floridly insane part of this is, he could have just falsely claimed that Willie Brown said "terrible things" about Kamala Harris, and left it at that. There was no need to invent a wacko story about being in a helicopter crash.

Josh Marshall posted some analysis of NYT and WaPo's #swiftboating of Tim #Walz. The full piece is paywalled at Talking Points Memo, but here's the free part, below.

Bottom line: It's all lies, told by two MAGA extremists who used to be in Walz's unit, and coordinated by literally the same guy who swiftboated John Kerry in 2004. And then breathlessly amplified by NYT and WaPo, which are supposed to be legitimate newspapers, but aren't.
