Bought 20lbs of "deer apples" for $12. Processed 10lbs to make cider. Have pressed about 5lbs of it so far, our press is small and not very efficient. Will probably upgrade before next season, but we've learned a lot using this little press! We also need to pickup more carboys to store and ferment our cider. I see them frequently at estate sales so we'll add more over time.
@roadriverrail 2 was supposed to be a television show, so it "kinda" makes sense (apparently the horse scene really offended Rupert Murdoch (yay)).
I also cannot fathom why they made this film, and I cannot find anything online about why they did this. But.. I've seen many films sequels where I asked "why"? =)
@phrawzty I agree, I don't think the opentf team should wait for Hasicorp to respond. They should fork and move on. But I'm not involved in the org so my thoughts don't really matter. I just want to use and work with actually open source software, and it's communities.
Similarly, I have work to get done that would really benefit from a tool like Vault but I won't get involved with Hasicorp at this point. I don't have the skill set to maintain a Vault fork and nobody is talking about forking it.
@purple I watch a lot of auto repair on YouTube and replacement part quality is way down. High chances that the order you receive won't fit, or will fail quickly because of poor engineering.
@purple with the introduction of led lights, you no longer replace the bulb. You replace the entire assembly. Cost went from $30 -> $300+ to replace a light.
Watched a few minutes of the automotive Linux talk on #flocktofedora and they mentioned computer controlled brakes...
I for one would rather keep my mechanical/hydraulic brakes. Easy to fix. Don't have to touch a computer. Replace pads, put fluid in, bleed out air > computer bullshit
@purple I'll accept a minimum of computer for abs, but my brakes do not need Linux. Simple embedded systems that are easily replaced. Do not want kubernetes in my car.
@roadriverrail@jeffhorton Ya I get roof top pools, but like.. OLYMPIC SIZED? Thats what gets me. I mean, I know modern building architecture is like.. capable of nearly anything at this point but still. Just seems like a bad idea for a public school.
I love the movie Hackers. Its silly and fun. But seriously. Who would believe that a public school has a Olympic sized swimming pool ON THE ROOF?! _AND_ Why would that be cool and interesting to go see on your first day of class? It makes no sense. The scene only exists so that the sprinkler hack can happen as revenge.
Also.. Wouldn't an Olympic sized swimming pools _water_ weigh a few tons?
