One of the wildest things to me about the whole healthcare CEO assassination situation is seeing people say, “left and right [politics] are a distraction from the up and down [class] issues”
Oh god dude you’re so close. Liberals—who y’all keep calling extreme leftists for some reason—are right wing. Leftists are anti-capitalist. Like you want to cling to your right wing conservative identity so fucking bad but you hate capitalism!
Every mainstream news outlet is currently running a story about the rash of CEO "wanted" posters all over New York. As far as I can tell, every one of these articles is sourced to a single shaky TikTok video showing three (3) posters on one (1) pole. Well https://jwz.org/b/ykeU
It's not even "we tried nothing and we're all out of ideas." It's literally "we aggressively steered the ship hard right and these goddamn proles didn't lavish us with praise for it."
We hope, that you choke. Fuck off back to the Hamptons with your piles of blood money.
I get so many goodies here (https://tabloid.vercel.app/ is the golden catch of the day!) but I also feed my worst habits of rage and supposedly hot takes. What to do?
@ExplorationBeyond Disappointed that love is not universal and does not conquer all, or ecstatic that love exist in the first place. I'll take the latter, as Marcus suggests.
It is awful to see all the teachers in my life, doing the best and most impactful work of anyone I know, all being squeezed impossibly tighter in new and more inventive ways every single quarter. I don't know what to do about it (other than being a supportive friend) and it is so heartbreaking.
@jstatepost@GottaLaff "slattern". Such a great word, but I'm trying really hard not to dis legit sex-workers who certainly don't need to be associated with filth like #DiaperDon and the #CouchFucker
here's mister Hope himself, explaining that we couldn't have single payer healthcare because there are people employed by the machine that drinks blood and grinds the bones of millions in agony, forcing us to pay more than any other country in the world for some of the worst outcomes of any developed nation - what about those jobs, he protests, that make the world so clearly worse? this was 2006, and last month we saw where the road of despair he helped pave finally leads.
