#Today wind was rough, barely managed two miles but as the dog had a lack of enthusiasm it was OK. Almost 67 (next week)and starting to feel it these last few months. Joints aren’t what they were and arthritis is a bitch kitty. It’s weird, getting older is a series of compromises, body let me do this today and I will do that. I will forgo salt and sugar and an Advil will get me through a long hike. Turmeric and CBD cream will allow my yoga practice.

#today an old friend passed. #BobRivers the guy who did the #TwistedTunes songs, who was a DJ out of Seattle for years and had more fun living his life than anyone else I’ve known died after a long battle with esophageal cancer. Battle? More like arm wrestling to be fair because he knew there was no winning, but holding to a draw gave him time for his dozens of projects and hobbies.
Never thought the guy I’d get high with would get famous, felt kind of weird to be honest.

He was never an asshole about it though. Drove a 20+ year old pickup truck he kept running with duct tape, gum, and profanity. Lived in no name jeans and sneakers. If you asked him what the best things ever were ( something we’d frequently do when we talked ) he’d say meeting Lisa, having his kids, and getting walk on parts in two Star Treks.
He was genuinely kind and funny and I’m going to miss him.

@TanyaGKasim @bmacDonald94 I gather things like blankets coats and tarps up at whatever second hand I can get them cheap and pinch pennies to buy dog food and gift cards for coffee and fast food and hand them out at a roving encampment near me. I don’t have the money to hand out online. If I had that much I’d be buying people decent shoes, sleeping bags, and camp stoves.

#Today been shopping around for homeowners insurance this week and I have questions.
They want to know how old the house is, how old the roof is and if you have deadbolts. What sort of heat ,do you have a home based business, is there a fire extinguisher. Garage or not attached or not , is there a Ring doorbell.
Pool? Trampoline? DOG? OMG what kind of dog and have they ever bitten anyone.

#Today the spouse and I were at the store and a woman stared at the just got the sutures out 5” scar on his forehead.
Then, and she was old enough to know better, she asked him how did it happen.
Without a seconds pause he said ‘my dear it’s a fencing scar but fear not, I bested my opponent’.
She scuttled away and he said ‘I’ve been planning that response all week’.
I’m still giggling.
