   Can we just take a moment to appreciate that Mark Zuckerberg has managed to shit in his own bed so badly in the past few weeks that fediverse image app Pixelfed, made by one person in their spare time, has managed to rise far above Instagram on the App Store?

     In fairness I would like to point out Mark is also the genius who renamed the whole company Meta and rebranded it as a metaverse company with cartoon VR avatars that would be a trillion dollar market so.. you know..

     @GossiTheDog I also want to take a moment to remember that Threads only looked really popular for a moment because if you already had Instagram, they were shoveling you in that direction as much as they could, and the only people who were all "this is so great!" were people who need to sell you stuff online.
