Remote work is a meaningful step towards climate action. Fewer commutes mean fewer cars on the road and a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
I'm extremely grateful that my employer continues to allow us full remote work today.

NIssan made the Fair Lady (280ZX). Panasonic makes the Tubeless Lady!
Well, they obviously meant "Tubeless Ready." If you speak Japanese, you will know what caused this error. 😅
It was pretty hectic at the end of the year, and I had no time to wash my bike until this weekend. So here.
@dx I hear ya. A lot of Japanese people I used to interact on X have been quiet here but active on Bluesky. Like you, I have zero interest in joining it, and I'm not keen on asking them (if I know how to reach them) to enable bridging, either.
I consider this a relatively safe cycle lane, if not great. Protection is minimal, but the lane is pretty wide and follows the direction of the traffic (rather than contraflow).
@tk That's a year-old vote! For me, I've never run into #1 but not having a screwdriver small enough to fit in a tight place does happen and is annoying!
@pete @ascentale Thanks. I hear good things about the Gravelking tires. Along with the Schwalbe Marathons, they're on my check-out list.
@mainichi Japanese chauvinism shining through once again. This is one of the cultural aspects of the country that I find disgusting.
I bought this bicycle as a daily driver to replace my old Trek 1.1. I like it a lot so far. It's quick, comfortable, and easy to manoeuvre. The hydraulic disc brakes work very well. The only thing I'd change is the handlebar. Being used to dropbars, I feel that this 640mm flat bar is a bit too wide. Should I cut the existing bar on both ends, or buy a narrower one?

@majorlinux @silver_huskey @milkman76 Dorsey says he left Bluesky because it was "becoming another Twitter" or something like that. I wonder if there's any truth to it. If so, maybe Bluesky isn't all that great after all?
One of the many advantageas of a cycle lane: You can bypass the car traffic on a busy street!
It's been forever since I've been to a car dealership, let alone to wait for a service to be done. They have nice amenities!
@tk Your palm rests on the back of your phone, doesn't it?
@tk Just curious, what aspect of a super-thin bezel makes it a pain in the ass to live with?
@tk We all do except none of want to... lol
Tell me you're a cyclist without telling me you're a cyclist. 😆
This is what a two-way bike path should be like. If only we had anything like that in Seattle...
@tk One litre is huge for a motorcycle, if you ask me. I'm still used to 250cc and 400c engines. Even a 750cc ("nana-han") is pretty big for me.
@ascentale @meganL @ai6yr @Brownian_motion A8: Yeah, I avoid cross-chaining, too. With the big chainring on front, I typically avoid shifting the rear to the three innermost cogs. As @meganL said you can usually feel it.
