Even worse, they had added gates to the paths that led to the inside of the store. I don't think I'm ever going back there again.

Remote work is a meaningful step towards climate action. Fewer commutes mean fewer cars on the road and a significant reduction in carbon emissions.

I'm extremely grateful that my employer continues to allow us full remote work today.

@dx I hear ya. A lot of Japanese people I used to interact on X have been quiet here but active on Bluesky. Like you, I have zero interest in joining it, and I'm not keen on asking them (if I know how to reach them) to enable bridging, either.

I consider this a relatively safe cycle lane, if not great. Protection is minimal, but the lane is pretty wide and follows the direction of the traffic (rather than contraflow).

@mainichi Japanese chauvinism shining through once again. This is one of the cultural aspects of the country that I find disgusting.

I bought this bicycle as a daily driver to replace my old Trek 1.1. I like it a lot so far. It's quick, comfortable, and easy to manoeuvre. The hydraulic disc brakes work very well. The only thing I'd change is the handlebar. Being used to dropbars, I feel that this 640mm flat bar is a bit too wide. Should I cut the existing bar on both ends, or buy a narrower one?

@tk One litre is huge for a motorcycle, if you ask me. I'm still used to 250cc and 400c engines. Even a 750cc ("nana-han") is pretty big for me.
