I share a positive review of my new (first) tubeless tires on a FB bike group. Someone mentions "sealant stuck to your hands, on the frame, clothing." I respond with my reasoning behind going tubeless, pros and cons listed, and then the same person comes back with "I do know that tubed is a heck of a lot easier to change out."

Seriously? If you prefer inner tubes, go right ahead and stick with them, but DO NOT give me shit about MY choice. Jeez.

Thta's what I feel that Ride Bicycles in Seattle has been doing - building a community. I didn't buy my bike there, but now I have them service it.

@mika_regan Whoa! Glad you contacted your bank back. A similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago. I sure thought it was a scam but decided to get back to the bank as well. Guess what, there were in fact unauthorized transactions! People these days...

I'm not a journalist, but I follow a few news accounts and often want to QT their posts I agree with so I can add my own positive comments and boost at the same time.

Of course, they (and I) could move to an instance that's based on a service that allows quote-posting, such as Misskey. I suspect many people who started using a Mastodon instance are either unaware of that option or unwilling to move, or both.
