As I sit here and reflect on the #MarchForPalestine yesterday, I'm reminded of all the organization and militancy of the movement.

That doesn't just happen overnight.

It takes building and studying.

But it also takes self-sacrifice. To remove oneself from the movement and to stand in solidarity with those different than you for a collective movement.

Not to think about how you're affected, but to what's happening with your fellow worker.

But to see the reactions today towards the #HandsOff marches from yesterday saddens me.

While it is important to critique movements to improve them, there are people who would rather tear them down altogether.

While I believe they didn't go far enough, I still believe that these people can be moved towards bigger causes.

While they may have been rather "tame" or "safe", under a police state that is not actually true. State violence doesn't have to be physical or immediate.

My son just discovered that the US is the richest country in the world.

Naturally, he first question was "Why is their poor people?”

I don't think he's ready.

Neither am I because I don't know how to make it simple enough to explain to him.

More and more companies are trying to weasel out of accountability to either kill us or enslave us!

Watching a video about first responders losing health benefits due to this administration.

The first comment I see:

"They probably voted for him!"

Second:

"This is what you get!"

Why not:

"Yo, this is fucked up! We should do something!"

Just fucking trash people that I hope one day will see a better tomorrow!

Liberals make me angrier than conservatives do.

With conservatives, you get what you pay for.

Liberals, on the other hand, will wish literal death on you if their candidate didn't win!

Their support is extremely transactional!

They look at what's happening and say "This is what y'all get!" instead of fighting against unjust systems!

It makes me fucking sick to my stomach!

I'm trying to be as measured as I can about this.

I don't know if this is legitimate and maybe someone here can help me verify it.

Lately, I have been receiving one-off mentions about people asking for help buying diabetes medication.

Some of them have been posting as if they are coming from Gaza.

As a diabetic who posts about Gaza a lot, I find it odd that this is happening.

Especially when the accounts are posting anything else and were created the day before.

@renedario Because that introduces politics into a conversation that they aren't willing or ready to have.

It's almost as if they actually acknowledge how shitty all of this is, it'll all fall apart and they wouldn't be able to justify their jobs anymore because it's centered around this system.

One thing that makes me super uncomfortable is a line forming behind me.

It happens quite often when I'm making my salad for lunch.

While those folks aren't doing anything but waiting, I just feel immense pressure to finish what I'm doing.

I refuse to believe that anybody making USB-C cables can't just make data and power cables.

This is yet another reminder to stop wishing harm on your fellow workers.

The powers at be are banking on us not having class solidarity and allowing our suffering to continue.

It is the system that has enabled people to feel the way they feel.

Remember, this is learned behavior that people picked up when legitimate fears were exploited by the ruling class to divide us.

I'm not saying tolerate hatred, but stop wishing ill will towards people who can't change your material conditions.

I really hope this #AI thing is true.

I just really want to see the Chinese beat the US at their own game.

It really sucks that the content that I would like to follow doesn't put out anything on #ActivityPub or any other decentralized platform.

I get reaching the masses but some people have left or want to leave these corporate platforms.

Honestly, Ive lost all desire to be anywhere but here now.
