I had to contact customer support in order to start the process of having the limits on my ability to create a full cPanel backup removed. According to the representative, it could take up to 48 hours for the request to be resolved. :blobcatboo:
Here are their numbers if you want to call them and share your thoughts. Each number starts with 202-225 Ami Bera -5716 Ed Case -2726 Jim Costa -3341 Laura Gillen -5516 Jim Himes -5541 Chrissy Houlahan -4315 Marcy Kaptur -4146 Jared Moskowitz -3001 Marie Gluesenkamp Perez -3536 Tom Suozzi -3335
My web host is making it difficult to make backups in cPanel. I've had it up to here with how quickly they've gone downhill after being purchased by Newfold Digital. The price of my hosting plan was jacked up by over 50% in the last two years, yet the backend software is woefully out of date.
And yes, I have started the migration process to another host, but I need a full cPanel backup first.
I think this is has a lot of good info that people should be aware of but I just gotta give my regular reminder that the developer of Wafrn, who goes by gabboman on here, is antiblack and friends with eris. He also harassed me when I made my post calling eris out, and I will attach my subsequent Fediblock post about it below.
My Krusty's Super Fun House livestream is on @damagecontrolblog's YouTube channel. This was a one-shot stream as I could only play so much-- doubly so given the terrible, repetitive music. Definitely one of the less memorable of The Simpson's games.
I'm not surprised to see that Monster Hunter Wilds is selling well. Despite the issues on PC, having a simultaneous release helped. I wouldn't be surprised if Wilds broke World/Iceborne's records when all is said and done in a few years.
I enjoy a good beat 'em up, and Absolum is looking excellent. It would be nice to have a solid release date beyond 2025, but the year is still young. (Though it certainly doesn't feel that way!)
My progress in Monster Hunter Wilds is going to be slow. If bugs like these get fixed before I encounter them, I'm okay with that. Already had my game (on PS5) crash on me after a hunt.
ICYMI I updated yesterday's Krusty's Super Fun House and Monster Hunter Wilds livestreaming announcement on @damagecontrolblog with embedded video from Twitch. Enjoy this double feature. The VOD will be replaced by YouTube video by week's end.
If you run adblockers and still use Chrome for some reason, here's your reminder to switch to a new browser. This does affect some Chromium-based browsers like Brave or Edge. Vivaldi is my choice on that front.
I'd suggest Firefox or LibreWolf for a clean break.
I'll be playing Krusty's Super Fun House for about an hour. After that, I'll be switching over to Monster Hunter Wilds. Join me at 8 ET on @damagecontrolblog's Twitch channel for some retro suffering followed by a fun game.
I largely had a good time at Mom's 70th birthday party. The day was busy to say least. I'm exhausted, but at least I don't have to cook dinner tonight.
Months ago a PS5 update killed compatibility with my Acer monitors. Once I got the monitor working, all the colors were desaturated. The experience was so bad, it was almost like trying to play a game in grayscale.
Sony fixed this with an update because I can see color again on my monitor.
This is both a shit show and a clown show of an administration. Steamrolling our rights and freedoms at home, *and* making an embarrassment of us on the world stage.
I feel for Zelenskyy having to share the same air with these assholes.
Oh, how I wish I could dabble in and stream a bit of Monster Hunter Wilds today!
But I have to focus. Help Mom with her big birthday party preparation today, celebrate at the party tomorrow, then play MH Wilds after suffering through Krusty's Super Fun House on Sunday night.
