I'm so not surprised at this news. It was this weird push for people to work, shop, live, and game in the VR space using clunky strap-on goggles. The effort was both expensive and lackluster, and people weren't feeling it. I'm amazed it took Meta this long to drop it.

One of these guys, after failing to become a millionaire, joined a writers group that I had somehow come to lead after all the founders disappeared. He wrote a memoir of how he went from being a Harvard frat kid most interested in getting ripped lats to becoming a passionate creative tech weirdo. Naturally it all flowed through riding a bike. Getting logged into everything on Linux Mint is coming along. Fresh new OS installs are always a pain in the ass when it comes to logging back in. Weirdly enough, Twitch keeps telling me my Firefox browser isn't supported, but Vivaldi works just fine. I don't get it.

The installation was successful! I can swap between Windows and Linux Mint on the fly now. I just need to get everything setup and customized on Linux. Getting applications downloaded was even easier than on Windows-- good thing I use a lot of open source apps. What a neat distro.

I spent yesterday and today installing new hard drives into my desktop, after giving my PC a good cleaning. Now I'm preparing to installing Linux Mint on one of the new drives. Fingers crossed this goes well.

I appreciate learning the mystery behind this hand pose. Honestly, I never gave it much thought myself beyond finding it incredibly funny.

I'm asking the really important questions in this review. Yes, I had this thought while randomly going to the fridge for a drink one day shortly after finishing this game.

ICYMI I reviewed Laika: Aged Through Blood for @damagecontrolblog. The difficulty of this Metroidvania pushed me to my limits, but I also found a lot to enjoy. This isn't a game for anyone looking for a casual experience.
