@anubis2814 Yeah, definitely lots of ideas floating around in those days-- workable or not. Seems to be a thing with new social media networks or networks getting a huge surge of new people. 😅

I will say, I'm not eager to recreate the big following I had on the birdsite. I'll let that die with my account.

@anubis2814 I've mostly been seeing messages to block the trolls and don't give them traction, also to check out block lists of bad actors arriving from the birdsite. Also, how not having an algorithm is nice. Guess it depends on who you're following?

But, I remember here a few years ago when people where encouraged to follow everyone who liked your toots/posts to help fill out follows. Maybe that was just a Mastodon thing?

It was slow at work tonight, so it seemed a great time to take a mental health day. I was given the night off after arriving at work, so I went shopping for some of non-food items for Thanksgiving.

Now I'm just going to try to relax for the rest of the night.

I'm also cooking another dish, picking up food for her to cook, and other requests. This includes me also having to work Wednesday night into Thanksgiving morning thanks to my job. I also stay behind for a bit after dinner to help clean after dinner. I dislike being guilted into doing even more.

The holiday stress is quickly approaching, as I got into an argument with my mother. I get the feeling she's very resentful of me wanting to be home by a certain time on Thanksgiving, so I can livestream.

But it's not like I'm not helping out. I'm cooking 1/3 of the dinner including the turkey.

The final part of my Comix Zone livestream is now on @damagecontrolblog's YouTube channel. I finally finish the game. After much suffering, the chat encourages me to use cheat codes. Even with the codes, it takes three tries to get the game's good ending.

I didn't get to play any of Metaphor: Refantazio since last Monday morning, and certainly didn't get to the game over the weekend. I had some extra time today before work.

I only had an hour, but that was enough time to knock out the second dungeon and the boss.

If not for the buzz on social media, I probably would have forgotten about the Game Awards nominations. It happened, it's okay, and I guess you ought to go vote if that's your thing. I'll be watching the Game Awards for pure entertainment value this year.
