If you want to self host, try out snikket. They have paid hosting available too.

For Android users, Conversations is a fantastic client.
Of course, most people making noise about it all still want the convenience of a free service. -

Also expecting users to run their own nodes and apps to use Nostr is a stretch to put it lightly. In conversation from activitypub.agates.io permalink -

It's the most reliable ways to use passkeys there so far and will soon bring passkeys to Android. In conversation from activitypub.agates.io permalink -

unsafe { Sir Alecks Gates } (agates@activitypub.agates.io)'s status on Thursday, 11-Apr-2024 07:30:44 JST unsafe { Sir Alecks Gates } The "us" are the people responsible for contributing to the Podcasting 2.0 project which develops this standard:
https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/podcast-namespace/blob/main/docs/1.0.md
Somewhere along the line, the funkwhale developer saw mention of a way to pay podcasters with cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin (which has nothing to do with this and people can choose not to implement it). They then decided to ignore the entire effort. In conversation from activitypub.agates.io permalink Attachments

Particularly @Castopod and @peertube (I had my PR merged in 5.2) have AP objects already in all of their RSS podcast feeds. In conversation from activitypub.agates.io permalink -

The interesting thing is I think AP through RSS is one of the best ways to index and discover content. Probably due to the simple standard. In conversation from activitypub.agates.io permalink -

unsafe { Sir Alecks Gates } (agates@activitypub.agates.io)'s status on Sunday, 28-Jan-2024 13:29:03 JST unsafe { Sir Alecks Gates } Just looked at NIP-47.
If the user has to interact with a central service to get connection information *on a specific relay* in the first place, why is Nostr being put in the middle?
This solves nothing...

unsafe { Sir Alecks Gates } (agates@activitypub.agates.io)'s status on Saturday, 13-May-2023 04:47:50 JST unsafe { Sir Alecks Gates } What I think a lot of people don't realize is how extensible systems like the Fediverse are. It's unfortunately very common, even within the developer sphere, to assume that something can't be done just because it hasn't been done.
I wonder why that is.In conversation from activitypub.agates.io permalink
