It's ironic how #threads is giving their users the ability to free their content from a closed system, and the #fediverse--a supposedly "open" system--is blocking those users.

A) does it matter? I mean, mas.to doesn't report my "followed by mas.to users" and "followed by other activityPub instances" numbers separately.

B) what's stopping Fediverse instances from reporting inflated numbers?

I like how #bluesky doesn't try to fight you on copy/pasting text. in fact there's a UI affordance for it!

@dansup so let us log into Pixelfed with our Mastodon accounts. Let me view my existing ActivityPub feed with your photo oriented UI. Why make everyone create a new account? The ability to create third party clients is a *feature* of the Fediverse.
