How do I become comfortable with the Compose key?
I want to be able to type characters like ≤ without having to refer to a hex table.

@fu @Aslanmane There's been a rising recognition of Advent season among traditionally evangelical-culture churches. Perhaps you'd find more embracing of the liturgy in other Baptist lineages, apart from the SBC. I won't say it's widespread, but it's definitely worthwhile.

@Aslanmane Love the lectionary. One of the wonderful things about it is, for churches who follow it, each Sunday they are discussing and celebrating the same scriptures and topics that are being considered all over the world that day.

For decades we've bought #Honda and #Toyota partly because we like their cars but largely because we value the reliability of their internal combustion engines.
We're not ready to convert to EVs just yet; plenty of life left in our current vehicles. But that does leave me wondering what our criteria will be for choosing an #EV. Do we stick with the brands we know? I would be less worried about engine reliability when there's no internal combustion going on.

Just a thought, for now.

@1dalm I'm no fan of internal combustion. I think I will care about things like having physical controls inside the cockpit area instead of just a touchscreen. Would love to choose a manufacturer that doesn't rely on subscriptions and surveillance, but I doubt there are any.

Isn't real #leather better environmentally than synthetic leather? What else happens to all the steak pelts? As long as we're eating beef, goat, pig, alligator, let's not waste their hides.

Also, real leather is better.
