@youronlyone There are malls outside Metro Manila too. I find Robinsons Place Iloilo confusing despite a logical layout (it's a cross). Looks good on paper but tougher once inside, for me.
@fu@Aslanmane@ned Please go find those people and have a word with them. Nobody here is arguing with you about the idea that there are bad landlords. I think we all agree.
We should also all agree that charity is necessary. If you don't, well. Your words may profit nothing.
@Aslanmane and @ned , I can't speak for @fu , but I want to recognize while there is plenty of reason to resent exploitative landlords, I trust that is not the situation with you and yours. Landlords can be fair to their tenants, even partners with them; they can take care of and improve their properties and make things better for their communities, not worse. May charity prevail.
@ned@Aslanmane@fu You may want to reconsider whether your suggestion that all landlords are exploitative is fair to the millions of landlords you don't know. Maybe that's been your limited experience. I have a feeling that isn't the last word.
I have tried so many #monospaced#fonts, but I keep coming back to #Inconsolata as pleasant and readable. Latest I tried was the #Monaspace family, but the block "@" sign did them in for me. (Really interesting otherwise though!)
@fuat2mb What would make any UI "look like... GNU" unless one were copying GNOME? I don't think they're directly copying GNOME, though there are bound to be some similarities.
Writers of Unix history: please write books that get printed on paper. I love your articles. I can get lost in them. Decades from now, maybe a few short years, they will be irretrievable. We will lose our history if we don't record it as real-world objects.
We have a lot of ripe #avocados. I don't want to turn them all into #guacamole or shakes. Nor just spread on toast. What else can I do with them where the avocado is the star of the show? #cooking
