@dalias @ska Ah, but as fun as they are to make, each alginate mold is only good for one or two positive casts.
And yes, alginate is the only way you’re gonna a mold of a live, erect cock; plaster gets cold (shrinkage!) and takes too long to set.
@dalias @JessTheUnstill I suppose I’m leaking some of my envy, as I’d much rather be “woman-height” than my actual 6’+
Can’t find a damn decent women’s boot in size 14.
@inthehands Hope you screenshotted it; Reddit mods deleted 🤬

@skinnylatte @deathkitten wow. $1500 is quite the price premium for integrating a backup battery with an induction hob.
Especially when ~$800 can buy you a “2048Wh LiFePO4 Battery, Solar Generator (Solar Panel Optional), 3400W X-Boost Output” power bank from a pretty reputable brand.
@skinnylatte Bay Area folks should all know about their fire department’s NERT program: http://sf-fire.org/nert
@inthehands Oh, not in this case, no brown people involved AFAIK.
Recently reading about wholesale slaughter in other parts of the world, and the phrasing is decidedly different between [CEOs / Charlie Kirk] vs [family in automobile]
@inthehands Assassin? Murder? But I thought Kirk was just “struck by a bullet”
Or do we only phrase it that way when it’s a brown person?
@thomasfuchs Billionaires insist upon only the *finest* of fireworks.
@thomasfuchs That’s the second time I didn’t know about an update til one of your PSAs. In recent memory.
Thank you!
@dalias Maybe even point out to your employer(’s legal department) that in America there are federal laws requiring Institutional Review Boards for psychological experimentation.

@inthehands The interface could definitely use some work.
“Always” location access isn’t necessary if you’re only using the app to report a sighting. It *is* necessary if you want realtime alerts about ICE activity near you.
That’s what the little house icon is for: telling the app if you’re home or if you’re out (the app saves battery power by not using location access when you’re “home”)
@skinnylatte I absolutely endorse the Sad Bastards Cookbook.
But I also frequently forget to eat for so long that even these incredibly simple prep steps can seem like too much trouble, or something, because low blood sugar makes me stupid.
So I keep a supply of Soylent (or other meal-replacement shake) available as “brain kindling” in case the bastard gets too sad.
@skinnylatte Even these vegans recognize that a dead landlord is just fine.
Fascinating.
@thomasfuchs
@thomasfuchs @Binder Oh, I remember those days … when so many office products’ design choices factored in things like “hides nicotine stains well”
(Huh. Yep … I suppose the non-smoking workplace thing counts. So now that’s *one* significant improvement to workers’ lives I can think of since Reagan took office.)
@WarnerCrocker Wonderful that this battlefield-proven technology is finally available in the civilian sector.
Tragic that the (American, particularly) civilian sector has such a great need for military-grade wound care.
@thomasfuchs @acb The thing which makes the campaign against “weird” republicans such a magic bullet is: the people who think themselves “weird” mostly already Get It. Weird is not an insult to us.
But to a republican? It’s a call-out of their deepest-rooted insecurity.
*The same insecurity which drives so many of their fascist impulses.*
