@Infoseepage @maxleibman Even in this *room* I regularly flip between 3 different browsers (gaming machine, laptop, phone). So many implementations assume a single device.. it's just not thought out.

And don't get me started on the implementations that require Windows, or Chrome, or both.

@GossiTheDog I'm surprised.. Normally it's said if the chip is already damaged by the faulty microcode then the only solution is RMA - the updates just stop it getitng worse.

Why are they so needy these days? It never used to be a thing.

But it's just a bug.. another day at the office, install the update and move on. This dramatic '9.9 world ending' shit needs to stop.

@GossiTheDog It's always fascinated me that large networks take so long to deal with that stuff. My disaster recovery plan for such an event is to shut everything down and reimage/recover the backups.. obviously spend a bit of time first to find out how they got in but not *too* much because people gotta work.

Clearly there's a reason it takes that long, it's just outside my experience.

You want someone else to use your stuff? Release it properly. Documentation. An installer. Actual testing. Those kinds of things.

Otherwise it's just 'bits of code on github'.
