Just read two quite intense novels back to back, and was feeling a bit at sea about what to read next. My TBR pile was not enticing me.

So I got out my 30 yr old copy of Neuromancer, because it's always right!

Nothing new under the sun. Remarkable parallels with today.

It's not just fascism that does this; it's not just someone like Trump mocking a disabled journalist.

It is unreflective group behaviour. For example, I was recently frozen out of an activist group because I refuse to use Meta platforms. That makes me a deviant. I am perceived as a threat to the group leader because I refuse to comply.

A reflective group can make adaptations for a disabled member, and can live with dissenting opinions, can perhaps eventually reach consensus on an issue.

Imagine the older lady roles she could have aced, had she lived long enough.

I have mostly kept my two twitter accounts alive out of some kind of morbid curiosity; watching something that belonged to all of us dismantled and destroyed by ONE idiotic male. But these new changes break the model completely.
