Are there any fediverse developers working on the ability to see a website and then have a link I can click to share that article directly?

I just saw an article from @gamingonlinux@mastodon.world , gamingonlinux.com/2026/07/go... , and then had to go find the post to boost it.

Ideally there'd just be a button on the website I can click and it points me to the article on my Bonfire.

I wanna say someone was working on something like this. Just can't remember who. 😁

This is incredible @benpate@mastodon.social and @julian@community.nodebb.org . I'm absolutely blown away by the work you folks are doing. This isn't JUST for Emissary. This isn't JUST for NodeBB. This isn't JUST for Mastodon. THIS is for EVERYONE. And y'all are fantastic. When I see this kind of work, I honestly get emotional, because THIS is what changes the game. Thank you both and everyone, for all of your hard work. I know folks don't see it the way I do, but THIS is a step. Maybe the rigth direction, maybe 5 years down the line we say it wasn't, but it's a STEP that pushes EVERYONE forward.

I will state that the message I replied to was from Julian's NodeBB instance. So it's translating from threadiverse to Bonfire, so probably some incompatability there.

I like the new tabs.pub. Just had a thought.

A user on my Bonfire is experiencing an issue with Federation. When I've been posting from here, I see that tags.pub has been boosting my content. I like that. A bit noisey, but whatever.

HOWEVER, since I now know that my FiresideFedi user isn't federating, I wonder if you could add like a @ping@tags.pub when doing a #ping or something similar, so that we have external servers that verify our connectivity. Maybe not just a ping, but a PONG or response or something. I think this could help with understanding connectivity.

On the #Fediforum #GrowingTheOpenSocialWeb #unconference right now. And the diversity, the experiences in just the first 30 minutes is incredible. We have so many folks from all types of different backgrounds learning and SHARING with everyone else.

I'm planning on starting a new podcast called WorksOnMyMachine.live or womm.live . Are there any software developers out there would like to join me?

The premise is we hop on a video or audio call on a Sunday morning, 0900 UTC-5, and we talk about your software application. However, I also attempt to follow your docs and use your application live. If I get stuck, or we experience issues we learn live, troubleshoot live, etc.

This allows all of us to learn your app, it helps go over your docs, etc.

Are there any software developers out there interested in doing this?

If so, what's a good place to contact you, what's the link to your website, what's your app do, etc.

Currently watching #FOSDEM #openSocialWeb track. This is about the #fediverse and all kinds of different projects people are working on. EVERYONE has a role in this. If you are enjoying the fediverse, YOU MATTER. Find a way for you to help this community. As @samvie@chaos.social just said, we just need more shoulders! Everyone doing whatever they can. Something as simple as talking to someone.

I've been giving lots of feedback to the @Bonfire@bonfire.cafe guys. They're taking things up SUPER fast. It's been absolutely incredible.

I recommend folks try out Bonfire, because it's honestly shaping up to be the one stop shop platform for social networking, consuming news, eventually handling calendar events, etc.

They just let me know about the new Git they just put up about Bonfire Widget suggestions. What would YOU want to see in Bonfire?

Saw the news about Wikipedia signing a deal with AI companies. I know a lot of folks aren't happy about this, but I look at this in a few ways.

1. They're going to scrape the data anyway, so the least you can do is make money from it.
2. The money going into Wikipedia will allow them to be sustainable for years to come.
3. We know that wikipedia has worked hard to moderate and curate their information. So would we rather have AI believing blatant lies or pulling from sources that we trust and can verify?

I'm not going to approve or disprove of them as I don't know the real details behind the deal, but this is how I see it.

Has anyone ever given a #TED talk that could mentor me? I'd like to know how to submit a presentation that actually interests them, how to do the presentation, and what comes after.
