I spent a lovely morning hanging out with this very nice echidna before it trundled off into the underbrush. I'd wandered down a path that was marked as closed due to flooding to see if I could get any good turgid river shots, and stumbled across this friend instead.

Normally when I see these sleepy friends interacting with each other, they're very slow and gentle. This morning, I think I witnessed a tussle, where two seemed to do some irritated buzzing at each other, and wrestle for a moment before one flew off. The other preened for a moment on the edge of this flower before flying away itself.
