Just sent a PR on the non-ASCII handle one for Fedipub and Manyfold.

#AskFedi I need a collaborative document tool (maybe like etherpad?) where I can have a public view, a private link for editing, and ideally another so some people can comment. What's good these days?

@evan ooh, I need to dive in on this one, Manyfold has had content licensing in the AP messages using SPDX (https://spdx.org/rdf/terms/#d4e2638 ) for ages. I will have a read and add comments.

Think I'm going to institute a new policy on the Manyfold codebase - anyone (or more likely any*thing*) explicitly asking for a CVE ID to be issued on a security report is going to get banned from the repo.

@evan given that this is a library, it *might* be possible to write a validator app once I know this one works. But no promises, my todo list is very long!

@evan RFC9421 update for you - I'm working on it in @fedipub at https://gitlab.com/fedipub/fedipub/-/work_items/43. If you want to update the support matrix, add Fedipub and change Manyfold to "via Fedipub" or something. Hoping to get it done this week.

Do you know any ways to test that signatures are compliant, and that things can communicate properly? (Other than just trying to talk to a production Mastodon server and hoping for the best)

Someone taking your non-AI-using open source project and (a) vibecoding a load of additions to it in their own fork while also (b) vibecoding a "clean" equivalent is *incredibly fucking depressing*.

I don’t see the lawyers or academics who let an LLM produce fake citations getting the same treatment. Remember kids, plagiarism is *super cool* if you use Claude to write your code, or ChatGPT to write that essay!

Incredible scenes: had a takedown demand from a large unnamed miniature company for a model I remixed and published on Thingiverse.

- It only uses CC-BY sources
- it’s a proxy for a unit that does not have a purchasable model
- it looks completely different from anything they ever made

I think this is purely because it uses one
of their trademarked words in the description and tag, and it’s been caught by some script.
