With the shit about to go down in the US, I want to make a pitch to my non-tech social groups to get off WhatsApp. What would you do? Is Signal the right recommendation, or is it potentially subvertable?

Seeing a lot of uncertainty and nervousness around "geopolitical risk" of US-based tech services; what do you lot think about this? Are you looking to move off US-based services? How paranoid is it reasonable to be?

EVERYONE involved must get the parallel in the naming, right? It can't possibly be accidental. Nobody remotely interested in politics or history can not get it and must understand what it's saying.
