You can apply various filters and even regional filters, along with sorting by users, age, etc.
For example, this is a list of Pixelfed servers older than 3 years, running the latest version, with open registration and located in North America, sorted by user counts.

@dansup FediDB has a small but serious problem when it comes to swedish instances. Two nazi-sites (swebbtv.se and peertube.se) are listed.
