Fun thing I learned today at #FediForum. @ozoned runs a show called “It Works on My Machine” where app developers walk him through installing and running their thing, accompanied by fun banter.

That sounds like such a cool way to learn about new open source software.

@evan the open web is in some ways antithetical to competitive markets (so no) and it needs a bit of government help in order to avoid being taken over by capitalists.

@skinnylatte I used to work next to a Korean grocery store. I love the snacks there for the same reasons you stated.

Except one time I bought something called “mother fingers”, which turned out to be purplish Cheeto-shaped puffs that were dipped in white chocolate on one end.

I’ve always been curious about the intent behind those snacks, which I was never able to find again

Just spent the last 3 mornings attending #FediForum, an unoference to help the Open Social Web move forward.

With 3 inspiring keynotes and 8 attendee-led sessions, this was the largest event so far. I'm glad I let @j12t talk me into co-organizing.

I'm going to go outside and touch grass for the afternoon while I think about the ideas and joy that came forth in the sessions.

Today is day 2, with a keynote form @cwebber, special announcements, demos, and, of course, the sessions that we want to hold in order to move the Open Social Web forward.

The topic will be very interesting, but this looks like five white guys talking about the Fediverse. What are you doing to make sure that other voices are also represented?

Attending @fediforum today and yesterday has been such an inspiring thing! Lots of great conversations and some incredible demos I'll try and link to in the next day or so.

These truly are the early days of something special.
