@Suiseiseki @davidrevoy Also, I don't think microcode source code makes sense (it's binary made to run in a CPU directly. How can you write microcode using C for example?) so this isn't proprietary in my opinion.

Seems like @nova@hackyderm.io, the principal at GitHub apparently joined the fediverse! I can finally ask her some questions:
1. If you're on mastodon then why doesn't GitHub have a Mastodon option thing you can add to your GitHub profile?
2. Why isn't GitHub free/open source?

@jwildeboer Librerpi is a thing... Also the people behind the Pi seem to want to make it free but can't because of Broadcom.

@SuperDicq @redstarfish No. That isn't necessary. I'm going to send a patch to make lbmk ask the user if they want blobs regardless of the board (proceed at your own risk!), just like what @postmarketOS does.
