Well no, an OS is not adequately described with just the name of the kernel.
2 correct shorthands could be GNU or systemd - as GNU has GNU Linux-libre as a package (plus systemd relies on GNU) and systemd doesn't do anything without the kernel, Linux and so is always shipped alongside it.-
