He is a maintainer of our favorite tiling WM based Linux Mobile interface Sxmo, maintains quite a few Alpine Linux packages, contributed some cool pmbootstrap patches and recently made a talk "Introduction to postmarketOS" at SeaGL! 🥳

New ways to become a :postmarketos: Trusted Contributor
We know that people have been contributing to postmarketOS in many ways, not just via code reviews and submitting patches. So if you have been contributing to postmarketOS for the past six months or longer and don't fancy yourself a developer, there is now a path for you to become a Trusted Contributor too!
Folks owning a Nvidia Tegra 2/3/4 device, you might be interested in Svyatoslav Ryhel's work of replacing the proprietary bootloader ✨
> Svyatoslav ported most of these devices without owning one, just relying on testing from people. This means anyone having such a device can reach him and eventually will be able to replace the old proprietary vendor bootloader with U-Boot.

pmbootstrap 2.0.0 is here:
https://git.sr.ht/~postmarketos/pmbootstrap/refs/2.0.0
After bumping the minor version 53 (!) times in 1.x.y, we have some
breaking changes justifying a major version bump.
Highlights of this release are generating fstab and crypttab, support for the mtkclient flasher and better locale selection in "pmbootstrap init".
For users it should still feel the same overall. Enjoy this release, and thanks so much to everybody who contributed to it! ❤️

So #Reddit has sent us this nice "either you open up your subreddit or else" letter too. We will keep the subreddit private, let's see what their "next steps" look like.

We have established a path forward, it is using the #Fediverse instead of Reddit.

Contributions to the world of free software by transgender people are nothing short of extraordinary. Among other things, ARM support in Linux wouldn't be where it is today without the invaluable contributions of @alyssa. postmarketOS wholeheartedly embraces diversity and we believe that everyone, especially those who run free software, should too!
postmarketOS (pmOS), is a touch-optimized, pre-configured Alpine Linux that can be installed on smartphones and other mobile devices.
