@evan those are all excellent points. I do my best to liken the war crimes of Israel to other well-known incidents that people would be familiar with, like the use of white phosphorus in both Gaza and Ukraine.

I definitely don't want to be off-putting or offensive to anybody that reads my comments in good faith, and to that extent, good rhetoric and optics is definitely important too!

I don't think that's the DM spam filter.

Mastodon.social will silence people on their server without your knowledge (or theirs), and if they ever reply to your post, it'll show up like that -- lumped in with DM spam.

But unlike DM spam, there's no switch to turn it off, and your server doesn't really even tell you why it's happening.

I recognize this issue because I've experienced it myself.

@burnoutqueen @israel @palestine this really hones in on why complaints of "Holocaust inversion" (comparing the Israeli far right to Nazis) really rubs me the wrong way. At what point are we allowed to say, "look, they're telling us they are emulating the Nazi party" without it being called antisemitic? At that point, it's just making criticism of genocide categorically unacceptable if the right group is doing it.

There's never a right group to do that.

Imane Khelif objectively lived as a woman and learned to fight because of it. And became a tomboy. She fits the fake definition of what a TERF would still consider a real woman.

But, surprise of surprises, the bigots don't provide gatekeeping measurements because they'll abide by them. They provide them to distract with false notions of good faith.

@icedquinn Vivek Ramaswami is many things, but it is strange that you would say he was thoughtless after commending his political run. First he was the guy who knew stuff, and now he is not.

Ramaswami also supports a nationwide abortion ban, which I hope he would be against, right?

In addition to being extremely anti-LGBT wanting to abolish the FDA, and to take away voting rights for as many Americans as he is allowed to, while bloating the military.

@Jessica @icedquinn I can't quit phone cases until they make phones that don't slide off of surfaces. As soon as I take my phone case off and put my phone down somewhere, it immediately slides off and falls on the floor. Charging port first, if it's plugged in.

@icedquinn text does compress pretty nicely, doesn't it.

But astroneer is a mining simulator. Like Minecraft but less square. It feels like there should be a lot of numbers in there, not just a few, unless it doesn't pay attention to things I haven't disturbed yet.

I haven't seen anybody (systematically) gut a planet for resources yet, though. Usually they'll just blow stuff up and crash/lag their computer, but that's not a great indicator
