There just is not enough superlatives for the absolutely fabulous day here in the Seattle area. The weather is just absolutely as good as it can get. Started off cool and kind of cloudy and then the sun came out and it warmed up with sort of alternating warm and cool breezes. I just can't imagine anything any better. I'm an atheist, but I'll be damned if this isn't God's country.

in the USA land is not the issue at all. there are hundreds of thousands of acres of prime solar land in Southern California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada. you can drive for an hour in the SoCal desert and see nothing.
We just let big oil push their costs on everyone else. we're at the point where it's going to be cheaper to do solar and wind. that's why trump is so hell bent on making Alt energy as expensive as possible

I really hate that words like
different, weird, geek, have become so pejorative. I'll say "that woman is like the biggest cooler geek, she's got like 40 old picnic coolers and makes her own ones too" and it's a total compliment. People say "I don't get what's so great about old coolers"
I'm thinking I'm not into them that much either, but that's not the point. it's cool that she is, and she's happy about it. More happiness is always better. Geeks and weirdos make the world better

our society puts a price on human life every single day. not just in healthcare, but in almost everything. It's also not necessarily bad either. We could spend a million dollars on something that saves a single life. or we could spend that million on something that would save hundreds.
