Oh. So the predictions that the progressives in Portland made came true?
Seems like they're probably paying the wrong experts.

@br00t4c Wow...the strongest worded one yet.
@br00t4c Huh. And ICE didn't find him?
Weird.
@br00t4c "the school district’s police force"
lol...I'm able to predict how this will turn out.
@br00t4c Are...is this happening?
I can't speak for "Democrats", being progressive and not at all wrapped up in the "take the high road" club, but from what I can see, just like when he was in school, nobody at all *wants* Elon Musk.
I'd feel bad for him but empathy is a fundamental weakness, apparently.
@br00t4c Pft..."exists as an image, so is not playable"
Once again, I had a dream (I seem to have a lot more of them when my wife's not in the picture).
I'm going to talk about it, even though nobody likes hearing about other people's dreams, because I'm told that talking about them tends to prime our brain to have more of them - and I love to dream (even nightmares are a lot of fun, usually).
In this one I was a prisoner. I'm not sure of which country or for what reason, but I got very strong "1984" vibes from the whole thing (presenting as a totalitarian type state).
I was being moved from one location to another with two guards. At one point, there was a door, and the door was broken. So the guards took a moment to try to fix it, while I stood idly by.
I indicated (there was no talking for some reason) that I might be able to fix the problem with the door; a big heavy metal door, like the kind that businesses use as their back door in sketchy areas. In the course of "fixing" the door, I disabled the latch, slipped through, and pushed the door closed behind me.
Then I ran. (I ran so far awaay)
I encountered what seemed to be an underground mall or something, escalators going down with lots of people coming up. Apparently there was some sort of crisis happening down so I figured I could get lost in the crowd. I think water was involved, but I'm not sure what the actual problem was because I just continued fighting my way through the crowds.
At some point the guards started to catch up, but I noticed that the general public surrounding me was making it easier for me to slip through than for the guards to make it to me. I periodically adopted or lost a hat, a shirt, a jacket, etc...anything to keep changing my appearance.
It was like the chase scene in Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes, where everything was a "quick cut" and just rapid action.
Then my alarm went off and I was thoroughly disappointed with that because I really wanted to see how it ended.
#Dreams <--- This is the tag you want to mute if you don't want to read these.
@br00t4c Takes one to know one.
Anyone familiar with the Enneagram Institute or their testing?
Test costs $20 so I'm not super thrilled to take it without understanding a bit more about it.
Supposed to be a personality assessment, which historically haven't been fantastic, but this is supposedly "different".
@br00t4c Ain't no shoes dropping until someone has handcuffs on their wrists. This is just noise at this point.
@br00t4c Cry harder, I guess? Don't remember any other FBI officials whining like that.
@br00t4c Why not? He already has.
Stop humanizing the wealthy.
@kaia I have found that Debian usually offers a decent user experience with fewer resources than *buntu distros.
Depending on the hardware, of course.
2 Gigs of RAM might be a little light for Debian, but I'd still give it a shot.
@br00t4c Oh, perfect quote for someone trying to reinforce the notion that he's senile.
I mean, he might be, but there is no way that headline is an accident.
@br00t4c "Not MY face!!"
@ity I am too, but I've kind of taken on the crusade for AltText
Huh. I wonder how sighted people like it.
If you get it, boost it.
If I'm elected pope I'll legalize weed for everyone, even the clergy.
@br00t4c So..."leading the People" is surely what, 4th or 5th position?
Middle aged Progressive; I enjoy science and music - not in than order. I complain a lot. Hopium vendors need not apply, I'll only frustrate you.Alt-text for profile pic: me, a middle aged white hippy sporting a beard and top hat. I don't look irritating.Reply guy, drive-by poster. Don't worry, I'll agonize over my replies more than you will.Note: "Shut up" is less polite than "You can stop talking now", but both work.I do not consent to having my data scraped or bridged.
